Formative Assessment

Mid- and End-of-Module Assessment (for Version 1 Materials)

The Assessment Communication Packet contains grading information, answer keys, and rubrics revised for clarity and to reflect a grading system in which a score of "3" represents on-grade level performance, with lower levels of 2, 1, and 0.

Kindergarten Assessments may be administered as 1:1 interviews, or teachers may observe/question students during lessons and/or work time to gather evidence of progress toward standards. To facilitate teacher observation, checklists are provided that align to the Mid- and/or End-of-Module Assessments. When students demonstrate evidence of proficiency with an assessment item, teachers may not need to administer interviews for those questions. For more information, see the Assessment Communication Packet.
